Itamar has been playing guitar and writing songs ever since getting his first guitar, at the age of 13. Years later, releasing his own songs, his music and singing have drawn comparisons with Morrissey, Jarvis Cocker and David Bowie. His act ITAMAR has received praise by radio presenters and critics alike.
Pav started playing drums when he was 11 years old, and never stopped since. At the age of 14. He started gigging in Bulgaria with different bands, experimenting with everything from trash metal through progressive rock and urban pop.
mrhueso started playing Spanish guitar years back in Spain. Then he started travelling with it around the world, residing in the US, Mexico, Morocco, Kuwait, Oman and Belgium, until settling in the UK.
The band members are Uma Starets, Pavel Stanev, mrhueso and Itamar Starets.
Itamar's own songs were played on more than 50 radio stations across the UK, including BBC 6 Music, Kerrang! Radio, Amazing Radio, BBC London and many more. He played UK festivals with bands such as The Cribs, The Charlatans, Lightning Seeds and The Magic Numbers. He also supported Suede in one of their tours. Itamar plays guitar for Uma & the Wandering Stars, as well as co-writing/co-singing in some of the songs.
Pav played at festivals in Bulgaria such as Varna Summer Music Festival and Bourgas Music Festival, as well as playing in the EuroBGvision. He also played in UK festivals, including Kineton Festival and Napton Festival. He is now the drummer of Uma & the Wandering Stars.
After years of experimenting with new instruments, mrhueso decided to join a band one day, inspired when visiting London's "Ain't Nothing but..." blues bar. mrhueso- who plays some piano, violin, guitar, bass and the musical saw- is now the bass player of Uma & the Wandering. Stars
The band members have been playing together for more than a year in which they worked on the EP, played festivals and more.
Fraser Smith began his career in the 90s, playing and writing in various bands, including several years touring, writing and recording as a member of guitar band Shed Seven, (who had 17 top 40 hits between 1994 – 2003). This also led to playing major festivals such as Reading, V Festival, and T in the Park, as well as making numerous TV and Radio appearances.
Fraser Smith is the producer of the EP Trapped. He also did the mixing and played some of the keys of the EP. Fraser has produced and mixed records for a diverse range of acts and is an active songwriter and collaborator, with works also published by EMI, Sony ATV and Warner Chappell. His songs and productions have made appearances in TV, film and advertising campaigns worldwide.
